This 5-day intensive leadership training is designed for experienced outdoor practitioners looking to expand their competencies across multiple Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC) disciplines. The course combines classroom theory, practical field application, and competency assessments to support certification in Paddling Leadership, Overnight Leadership, and Maps & Navigation.

Prerequisites

Completion of the Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC) Hiking Field Leader certification

Active OCC membership in good standing
Registration, Materials & Community Pathway
Course materials, manuals, a detailed schedule, and gear list will be emailed two weeks prior to the start date.
Participants who require clarification, equipment coordination, or accommodation support are encouraged to contact the instructor after registration to ensure a positive and well-prepared learning experience.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be invited to join KOLA’s Community of Practice, supporting mentorship, leadership development, and progression toward Terrain 2 and higher leadership qualifications.
