Instructor Seminar: 2026 Scope of Practice Updates

Hello OCC Instructor,

Heads up: a new Scope of Practice requirement for Field Leaders leading in Class Two terrain will become mandatory in 2026. It is critically important that all instructors have a clear understanding of these changes to ensure safe and consistent delivery of programs.

We are offering three seminar sessions to present the information. You only need to attend one session:

Thursday, Jan 22: 5:30 – 7:00 PM MST

In these meetings, we will review:

• The reasons for the change
• What the new scope of practice means for instructors
• New materials to support your teaching
• Questions and concerns

Attendance earns 20 CPD points, applicable to ‘Days for personal certification course’ or ‘Days at one or more conference’ categories.
