Turn your love for hiking into leadership! This Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC) Field Leader – Hiking Course will equip you with the essential skills to confidently and safely lead friends, family, or groups on day-long hiking trips in three seasons.
What You’ll Learn:
✅ Trip Planning – Route selection, risk assessment, and group management
✅ Risk Management – Safety considerations, emergency preparedness, and decision-making
✅ Leadership – Trail leadership, confidence to lead groups in an outdoor environment
📅 Dates: May 17 & 18, 2025
🕒 Time: Saturday from 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM, Sunday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Location: 10333 Southport Road SE (Southland Park II) & South Glenmore Park
