These courses are an extension of Field Leader Hiking, Paddling, or Equine certifications. They provide the foundation of outdoor leadership in cold environments or for multi-day trips.
To take these courses, you must be certified as a FL (Hiking), FL (Paddling), or FL (Equine). The winter course length is 8 hours, most of which is spent outside. The Overnight course length is 20 hours, including a night of camping.
