Alyssa Trick

Indigenous Director

Alyssa has a deep love for nature, which she has developed through her relationship with her culture. In her free time, she can be found camping, practicing yoga, hiking, or by the lake with her friends and husky. Alyssa is a certified educator, a yoga teacher, and a mental health advocate. She is also the youth and engagement lead for We Matter and co-founded her own non-profit organization, Rooted in Nature, with her best friend.

According to Alyssa, there is a close connection between our health and the land. Outdoor education is crucial for the learning of young people in Canada. She believes that our relationship with the land helps us to create healthy habits in our daily lives.
