SUMMARY:Field Leader (Hiking) Backcountry Women
DESCRIPTION:Backcountry Women aims to connect individuals with a diverse outdoors community and create a positive\, judgement-free space where women and other marginalized genders can become empowered and confident through outdoor education\, resources\, skill development\, shared activities and various other opportunities. \nJoin our upcoming Field Leader (Hiking) course. The Field Leader Program is a set of foundational courses that provides the industry’s best practices in leadership skills so you can take a group outdoors\, to have a safe\, enjoyable\, and impactful  experience. \nYou will learn how to use your strengths to lead a successful outdoor trip\, how to build an experience that is meaningful and engaging to your participants\, how to build a trip planned tailored to your groups needs\, and more. Practice handling challenges\, and how to adjust accordingly\, and learn lessons for your next adventure. \nCompleting an OCC course gives you a nationally recognized outdoor leadership certification\, one year membership to the OCC\, and peace of mind\, knowing you are implementing industry accepted practices. \nCourse will be held within 50km of Winnipeg.
