DESCRIPTION:This certification is designed to help successful candidates be able to plan a safe backcountry overnight event following the event cycle learned previously in the required pre-requisite. \nParticipants in this certification will be required to provide their own gear and food. Our courses apply for outdoor clubs\, camps\, outfitters\, schools\, community programs\, outdoor centres\, or any other context where outdoor activities are part of programming.Courses are designed to prepare Field Leaders to lead others in low-risk terrain. Our leadership courses are complementary to other outdoor courses such as technical skills and first aid. This course is recognized by Parks Canada as meeting the permitting requirement for a 2-day group management course. \nCourse structure: The course will be taught at the learning centre at Back 40 Outdoor Events.
