Get your Outdoor Council of Canada Overnight Field leader certificates. This is for outdoor leaders seeking certification in the OCC Field leader program to improve outdoor leadership skills. Mandatory pre-requisit of OCC Field Leader: Hiking.<\/p>\n
This course includes: 1 year membership in the Outdoor Council of Canada and the Field leader Overnight certificate, as well as backcountry camping permits for the certificate course. This course is 30+ hours over 2 intensive calendar days including overnight backcountry camping in south muskoka.<\/p>\n
It is expected that participants are already proficient day hikers, calm water paddlers, and overnight backcountry campers. THIS IS NOT A \u00ab\u00a0LEARN TO CAMP\u00a0\u00bb COURSE. THIS IS A LEARN TO LEAD COURSE.<\/p>\n
Schedule:<\/p>\n
Sunday June 7th 10am Overnight Field session Gravenhurst + travel to Backcountry access point in south Muskoka. Curriculum will go to 10PM at a backcountry campsite 1-3hours travel from an access point.<\/p>\n
Monday June 9th 7Am wake up. Course will be complete by 5:15PM at access point parking area.<\/p>\n
