DESCRIPTION:Join us for World Bound: Yukon… a one-of-a-kind professional development course designed for teachers\, youth workers\, outdoor educators\, and adventure leaders who want to deepen their impact through nature-based and climate-focused education! \n  \nAttending this 9-day paddling expedition will allow you to learn and enhance essential leadership\, canoe\, and camping skills\, and provide the foundations for learning judgment and decision-making to provide safe and enjoyable experiences outside. \n  \nOur Guides will provide hands-on instruction in: \n\nThe Outdoor Council of Canada Fielder Leader Paddling\, Hiking\, and Overnight curriculum\nCore outdoor and expedition paddling skills for safe\, confident canoe travel.\nOutdoor cooking and backcountry expedition planning for future trips\nOutdoor leadership fundamentals\, including group dynamics\, risk management\, and field-based teaching.\nYukon geography\, culture\, and environmental history\, connecting Indigenous knowledge and environmental stewardship.\n\n  \n\nPRICES (CAD): $2799.00 + GST (register a friend to get $150 off per friend!)\n\nIncludes: \nCourse instruction and guiding\nOCC course fees\n1-year membership fee for new OCC members\nCanoes\, safety equipment\, and group camping gear + all meals while on the river\n8 days of guided paddling on the Yukon River\nLand transportation shuttle (to and from Whitehorse)\nCoordination support pre- and post-course\nWorld Bound Educator course instruction by experienced guides and the World Bound Professional Development Certificate from Fireside Adventures.\n\nFor more information and to register: https://www.firesideadventures.ca/adults/world-bound-yukon
