Field Leader Course: Kananaskis Country and Online

This Field Leader course focuses on the leadership skills and attributes required to take a group outdoors. It provides an effective framework for managing risks while fostering the development of participants’ planning, preparation and instructional practice. All useful skills for outdoor leaders!
Classroom Days: This will be a 2-part online format.
- Tuesday, April 08 (5:00 to 8:30 PM)
- Thursday, April 10 from (5:00 PM to 8:30 PM)
Field Day:
- Saturday, April 10, 9:00 to 5:00
- McConnel Ridge Trail (Barrier Lake/Kananaskis)
The course cost is $275 + GST per participant
This includes:
- OCC registration fee
- Interactive Online Course Modules & Instruction
- Field Day in Kananaskis
To qualify for OCC Field Leader Certification, participants must attend all sessions and actively participate in activities. There is some pre-reading and quizzes involved prior to the course.
