2-Day Backpacking Trip to Aster Lake

Tuesday, July 16 to Wednesday, July 17 + Pre-trip Meeting (July 09, 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Zoom)

The Outdoor Council of Canada’s Overnight Course will help deepen your connection with a community of practitioners committed to creating and delivering quality outdoor experiences across Canada.  This course will give you the opportunity to learn and enhance essential leadership and backpacking skills while considering the safety, comfort and enjoyment of your participants.  Why not do this all in one of the most stunning alpine locations in Kananaskis Country?  Our group will camp lakeside at Aster Lake as we engage with a variety of backcountry skill building activities.

Pre-Requisites: Outdoor Council of Canada Field Leader Course, Moderate Level of Fitness.  This is a 21.7km round trip with potentially +1423/-1423 metres of elevation gain and loss.
